Alessandra is a Phd Associate Professor at the Department of Political and Social Sciences, University of Calabria. She is a founding member of the Center for Rural Development Studies, which has a relevant research experience on migration and rural issues, agrifood and rural development processes. Alessandra Corrado’s research activity revolves around rural development issues, international migrations, agri-food systems. She is member of the editorial board of ICAS – International critical agrarian studies. Her publications and studies have focused on migrant labour in agriculture, migrations and informal economy, rural development and sustainable agri-food systems, migration, and development. She carried out research in Italy, France, Spain, Mali, Ecuador, Argentina, Chile. Among her publications there is the volume (as a co-editor). Migration and Agriculture: Mobility and Change in the Mediterranean Area (Routledge 2016).
