Isabella is a PhD in Knowledge and Innovation for Development, from Doctoral School André Gunder Frank, Department of Political and Social Sciences, University of Calabria, Italy. With more than 15 years of experience in developing countries and Italy, She is currently a Titular Associate Professor and Investigator at the Centre of International Relations of the Instituto de Altos Estudios Nacionales (IAEN) in Quito, Ecuador, and Professor in the postgraduates programmes: Specialization in International Cooperation; Master in International Relations; Master in Solidarity Economy. She is a member of the South-South cooperation research group of the Red Española de Estudios del Desarrollo (REEDES), and has participated as a speaker in several international events.
